Our antiqued mirror glass
Antiquing mirrored glass is a way of silvering glass. It consists in producing an "ageing" effect on a new piece of glass, to say in reproducing the normal decline of silver over time: the mirror will thus become darker and more opaque.
This technique is used both to satisfy the customer's desire of a vintage article, and for furbishing objects that miss their mirror, or mirrors that lost their transparency and their capacity of reflecting.
To a certain extent, it is possible to personnalise the final result, by realizing a stronger or a feebler antiquing in different points (edges, center, top, bottom, corners etc.). However, the process being entirely manual, it is not possible to know exactly how the finished product will look like (although it is possible to get very close to a sample) : in this sense, each of our articles is unique.
